Do we really need to post a recipe for a Jack and Coke? For most folks, probably not. Although, less experienced folks pouring drinks at home might not get the ratios. (Pro Tip: Mist cocktails are just ratios. Sticking close to those ratios is important because they provide balance.)
We are in Tennessee so I thought we’d pay tribute to Tennessee Whiskey cocktail. And I want to get out and explore the city rather than write all day.
Jack Daniel’s is Tennessee Whiskey. Jack and Coke has become synonymous with Whiskey and Coke. Sort of like how Xerox means to copy even though it’s a brand name.
Anyhow, here you are. Enjoy!

Ingredients
1½ oz Jack Daniel's Old No. 7
4 oz Coca-Cola
Instructions
In a double rocks glass, add ice
Pour in 2 oz of Coke
Add the Jack Daniel's
Top up with the remaining cola
Garnish with a lime or cherry
Notes
Putting some soda in the bottom of the glass helps mix the whisky without making the cola go flat. The carbonation will cause a mixing action so no stirring necessary.
