Sangria is traditionally a delicious mix of fresh fruit soaked and chilled in red wine to be enjoyed as a refreshing summer cocktail. In the heat of summer some reds can feel heavy even when chilled and mixed with other ingredients to lighten or sweeten it up.
White Sangria is the flirty, fun, best friend of traditional Sangria. Made with your favorite white wine as a base instead of red wine.
We are partial to Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc as they tend to lean crisper. But use what you like. Just keep in mind that a sweet white might take this too far over to the sweet side since we are already adding sugar and Prosecco.
Another pro tip, try freezing your berries prior to adding them to your drink. This will prevent watering it down like cubes would. If you don’t have time or space to freeze the berries, no worries, you are already chilling the sangria before serving. Enjoy!!
